What does it take to become an inclusive, forward moving sustainable

             church Planting Movement?
             
Lessons learnt from Bhojpuri Church Planting Movement

  1. Dependence on Prayer
· Extraordinary prayer lives of leaders
· Keeping the DNA of Jesus
   2. Dependence on the Word
· Not limited to literacy thru the use of the Audio Bible
· Discovery Bible study
· Living in the Word: obedience-based discipleship
    3. Dependence on the Spirit
   · To confirm the ministry thru signs and wonders and deliverance



· “Unprecedented expectation that God would do something great today”
     4. Dependence on indigenous leaders
· Not dependent on external resource persons
· Focus on indigenous leadership development
· Leadership development through mentoring – senior leaders mentoring younger leaders.
     5. Dependence on indigenous leaders
· Not dependent on ordained leaders
· Not dependent on salaried workers
· Sacraments administered by lay leaders (Baptism, Lord’s Supper)
· Ministry of the Word
     6. No Room for Apathy
· Owned by every member
· It is participatory
· Responsibility according to spiritual gifting
· Creative thinking under the guidance of the Holy Spirit & based on God’s Word.
     7. Passion for Church Planting
· Commitment to evangelism
· Intentional making of disciples
· Intentional in reaching families and friends
· “Cold vs Warm approach”
· 20th generation of churches
     8. Simple Obedience based Discipleship
· How does this apply to my situation?
· What do I need to change in order to be obedient to Christ?
     9. De-Centralize Training
· CLC –Community Learning Centers
· Advance Leadership Training
· Master Trainers
· Holistic Training
· 3000+ Trainers
   10. Vibrant Worship
· Prayer and teaching in heart language
· Traditional music & instruments
· Original songs
· Spontaneous prayer and testimony
     11. Commitment to Holistic Ministry Approach
     12. Removal of Traditional Hurdles
· Not introducing Teaching Manuals as the first for discipling but Scripture only
· No denominational distinctives so that disciples can move freely and interact with one another (cross-fertilizing produces synergy)
· Requirements to be leaders - kept to Scriptural requirements only for leadership
· Not personality centered (or focused on 2-3 core leaders)
· No Church buildings – proper utilization of resources invest in
training of leaders. 

Kabir Das (1398-1448) He was a mystic poet born in eastern Uttar Pradesh. His poems  are famous because of his views on life and relationships are simple. He was also a social reformer of his time. His couplet (doha) is quoted below for understanding the Indian views.

Pothi Padh Padh Jag Mua,
Pandit Bhayo Na Koye
Dhai Akhchchhar Prem Ke 
Jo Padhe so Pandit Hoye







(English Translation)

          When they died after reading many books, none 
had become wiser/master 

          The one who reads 4 letters word of Love, only he 
becomes wise/master

    Apostle Paul wrote, “Love never fails…..”1Cor 13:8
    13. Sustainable CPM (life of a disciple)

What are the Missing words not emphasized immediately when one become disciple of Christ
 (Internal Issues that can’t be transplanted) the above happens as a
result of DNA of Jesus.

What obedience to Christ does to a person when he becomes able to lead through personal discipline?
     14. Sustainable CPM (Partnership)
How has the quality of mission changed?
   · Partnership of missions has grown in 3 main cities - xyz- has an average of 130 denominational churches and Christian agencies as compared to 1998 when there were only 7.
